How will you use your Konjac Sponge?
How to Use
- Soak your Konjac Sponge in water. Its rock-hard texture will soften into a spongy feel.
- Massage in circular motions on damp skin. Use it on its own or pair it with our Tallow Soap Bar for a deeper or more nourishing cleanse.
- Rinse, squeeze out excess water, and hang it up to dry.
To extend the life of your Konjac Sponge, we recommend keeping it in an airy, well-ventilated space away from excess moisture — not in your shower!
FAQ’s
- What is a Konjac Sponge?
A konjac sponge is a natural sponge derived from the Konjac potato or Konnyaku — a root vegetable native to Asia. Besides its use as a sponge, Konjac is also used as a food source, dietary supplement, and for traditional medicine due to its high fiber content and many health benefits.
- Why is my Konjac Sponge hard?
Konjac Sponges are naturally hard when dry, but due to their high porosity, they can absorb a lot of water and become soft. We recommend only using your Konjac Sponge on your skin when it’s wet as it will be gentle enough for your skin.
- How long does a Konjac Sponge last?
If you take good care of your Konjac Sponge, it will last two to three months. To ensure you get the most of uses out of your sponge make sure you squeeze out the excess water and hang it to dry after every use. Additionally, we recommend storing it in an airy, well-ventilated space away from excess moisture. To keep it extra fresh and cool, pop your clean sponge in the fridge!
- How do I know it’s time to replace my Konjac Sponge?
Your sponge will last two to three months, but you will know it’s time to replace it when it starts shrivelling and breaking down. You’ll notice your sponge will feel looser than usual, and will see cracks forming.
